Bernini's story:
This is Bernini, the 8 year old Italian Greyhound. We’ve owned each other since he was 3 months old. He was puppy number 6 of 7 coming out in his mom’s first litter. He was actually stillborn, but his amazing breeder was able to resuscitate him. As a result, we later found out that he did suffer a bit of brain damage from the lack of oxygen. He has some stress/anxiety issues when things aren’t routine, has had intermittent seizures since he was 1.5, and he has a terribly sensitive tummy. Working with his vet we have him on a great balance of “happy pills” and he devours him home cooked meals. Despite all this, he is such a happy soul. Christmas is his absolute favorite time of the year. He also LOVES playing, guarding his humans and his house, snoozing in sunny spots, and snuggling together at every opportunity. There is nothing that a Bernini snuggle and a few kisses can’t cure, you really can’t look at him and not smile. He is my faithful hound, and is the best part of my day.
Not only has Trevor been one of the best teachers I’ve ever had but one of the dearest friends I will ever know. Thank you for always being the horse with the biggest heart!
