The Magic and the Mess - November
Hi!
We built our kiddos an art studio!
It's an outdoor space for them to be both messy and creative, which makes it a little easier to manage than the kitchen table. Our toddler loves it.
He and I have been preparing for Christmas too.
Since my heritage is German-American, we include a lot of the German Christmas traditions in our home that build the tension towards Christmas. One of my favorites is 12/6 St. Nickolas day... where on the morning of, kids (and adults) wake up their shoes filled with chocolate, oranges a few treats. It's all very sweet and I highly recommend it.
In other news, my horse has recovered beautifully from a very scary colic scare.
He had to be emergency-hauled to Alamo Pintado on a Saturday night (why are these things always on the weekends?) with the knowledge that we were likely going into surgery. Thankfully, it turned out he only had a stomach bug of sorts and with supportive care was able to pass it in about 6 days. I am so incredibly grateful - I know, those of you who have been through this, know just how emotional something like this can be.
Warmly, B
P.S. I couldn't help but make a few more mugs, btw! So those will be coming out soon! They were just so fun to create. This will be the last round, coming out Friday next week.
- This is the most wonderful horsey sweater for toddlers and babies alike.
- A home made art studio in the back yard - highly recommend. It's a wonderful way to keep the mess at bay and contained while giving them full reign to be creative. For this we used a table we built, a reclaimed cabinet, and a gifted table cloth from a friend.
- While texts are great, phone calls and voice messages are where my heart lies. I highly recommend you send a few voice memos over the next few weeks. They can feel so heartfelt.
- This is the most beautiful sink! Especially for small spaces.
Just so you know, I don't make anything for any of these links. I am not an affiliate of any company. I am sharing these things, purely because they have giving me such joy and other people should to have them too.
