The Bringing Horses Home Collection: “Durango” 20x25

Only 1 available

Meet Durango. He posed for a painting in the Bringing Horses Home series.... a little bit about him: he lives out in the field in front of our house. He doesn’t really have an owner.... I keep thinking about that, because I'd love to give his owner a print of the piece as a thank you for letting me paint him, but there doesn't seem to be anyone. This is because as best I can figure out, he belongs to the US forest service.

I noticed that he and the mule he lives with eat dirt on purpose, which if I remember correctly means they are super nutrient deficient. Is that right, horse girls?
So I recently started bringing him things  like a  salt lick and dewormer as well as some nutrient dense treats. Now, he follows me around like a puppy on my morning walks and parks out at the fence in front of my house hoping I'll come back with more treats 😍

You know what it's like to be a part of this special horse loving club. I swear, it's like having a "horse gene" - you either have it, or you just don't.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know we can't all have a horse (just yet!), but that does not mean you can't have one in your house. Because you can have a piece of art that symbolizes your special love for these magical beings.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Accordingly, meet the Bringing Horses Home Series.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oooohhh I am so excited to share these with you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I put together a small series of portraits. These are pieces that let a horse live in your home. Looking at you with all that love and intensity and acceptance that only an equine has. These pieces are meant to create a sense of magic and connection to your soul-animal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You guys are 90% of the reason I paint. I have so much fun painting, but then seeing the art light up your life makes it all SO much more worth it!

May it bring so much joy to you and your home.
