The Collected Mark
Every family leaves its mark. Part of the Simple Herds series, this painting distills observation into essential form: minimal line work and a restrained palette that let the subject breathe. Multiple horses rendered simply, creating depth without decoration.
This is one of the only original paintings I'm releasing this year. With the arrival of our new baby, my time in the studio has shifted, and I'm choosing to focus on what matters most. If this one calls to you, I'd encourage you to make it yours.
The Work
Mixed media on canvas: acrylic, charcoal, and ink come together across the surface, each layer building intention. The simple lines carry movement. The soft colors hold restraint. The result is work that will age beautifully, deepening rather than fading over time.
