When I embellish a piece this, I bring the piece into my studio and paint onto it in detail to give it the texture and feel of an original artwork. The pieces with gold especially benefit as now the gold has shine. This is a great option, as many of my clients who have had this had friends come over who could not tell it wasn't an original!
