Artwork Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

The artwork on it called Mantle was inspired by long days hiking in the California mountains. It feels like herds of horses moving together, and at the same time like the layers of earth and stone that shape our sandstone peaks. Look closely and the horses become the mountain; look again and the mountain becomes the herd.

The pieces themselves are gorgeous. Scattered throughout are special shapes of horses, horseshoes, saddles, and more, so every few minutes someone at the table gets to hold up a little treasure. The vertical format lets the painting's sense of height and depth come through as you build it, layer by layer, the way the land itself was made.
