Fly by Night
Part of the Angel Horse series, this painting captures movement and transcendence rendered in essential form: angel horses distilled to simple lines and soft color, suggesting flight rather than depicting it. Minimal mark work allows the imagination to complete the image.
This is one of the only original paintings I'm releasing this year. With the arrival of our new baby, my time in the studio has shifted, and I'm choosing to focus on what matters most. If this one calls to you, I'd encourage you to make it yours.
The Work
Mixed media on canvas: acrylic, charcoal, ink and gold build across the surface, each layer adding depth without overcrowding the composition. The simple lines carry grace and movement. The soft colors hold restraint. The result is work that will age beautifully, deepening rather than fading over time.
